Hello hello!
This last Sunday was my official one month "anniversary" in Brazil!!! Cheers to that! Just looking back over it, it has already been quite an adventure. I have definitely had some ups and downs in this last month, but I always try to keep it positive, and it has been great. I have met hundreds of awesome people on a totally new continent. I have made great friends who I will remember forever. I want to give a big thank you to all of the friends and family from all around the world who have supported me, helped me, shaped me into the person I am today, and made all the amazing experiences I have had possible!
Of those amazing experiences, the one I have picked out to talk about today is food! So since arriving in Brazil I have been having some of the best food I have ever had. The fruits are absolutely amazing. The chicken is really great, and the Brazilian Barbecue is amazing. However, this Sunday I had what I think was one of the best meals of my entire life. It was at the birthday party of a fellow exchange students host aunt. After a while of waiting the food started coming, and I just was blown away. I have never liked seafood, but I ate all of it at this meal, it was wonderful. So a big shout out to the chef, and check out the pictures below!
Other little things I have been up to include managing college stuff for next year (when it gets confirmed I will post on this). A looooot of running, I am really getting back into it. It's a lot of fun here, I do anywhere from 6-10km a day, either on the treadmill in the gym or out along the beach. Infact all of the fitness stuff here is wonderful, and the food is great for it too, since it is mainly fruits vegetables and meat. I have been having a lot of fun meeting up with everyone and failing at bowling or sitting on the beach with my new friends. Those of you who follow my Instagram know that not too long ago we passed 1000 views here on the blog so thank you! It's humbling to know how many people read this. Thats really everything I have for now, I'll write soon!
Thanks!
Jonah
